We the undersigned petition Reigate and Banstead Borough Council to Help speed up the already delayed role out of Fibre Optic Broadband to the Reigate Exchange. More details
More details from petition creator
The Reigate telephone exchange has been waiting for years for Fibre optic roleout.
Back in April 2013 I was told by BT that upgrades would be taking place in November 2013; this has now been pushed back to March 2014.
The BT role out schedule does change in correlation to "interest by area" - the more interest expressed regarding Fibre Optic broadband the higher up the ladder the relevant area moves towards priority upgrade operations.
In a recent call with BT I discovered that local exchanges have been boosted up the priority ladder by local campaigns and residents who called up and logged interest with BT.
You can register interest by phoning 0800 800150 (free from landlines) or 0330 123 4150 (from Mob)
During the call, by declaring interest in the BT fibre optic product "BT INFINITY" you will reach the sales team who will register your interest in the service in correlation to the local Reigate exchange.
As a community if we can register enough calls with BT they may well bring the upgrade schedule forward or at the very least stop the current schedule being pushed back yet again.
Thanks very much for your interest!
